On the morning of September 6, 2023, at the Unification Hall, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Vo Van Thuong met and expressed gratitude towards generations of volunteer soldiers and foster families on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Summer Volunteering Programs and Campaigns of Ho Chi Minh City Youth (1994–2023).

In attendance at the program were esteemed individuals such as Politburo member and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Nguyen Van Nen, as well as the First Secretary of the Central Youth Union, Bui Quang Huy. Additionally, approximately 200 delegates, consisting of former summer volunteer soldiers, representatives of families, soldiers’ foster families, reporters, and journalists, were present. These individuals share a deep connection and commitment to the city’s Youth volunteer movement.

The meeting program was chaired by esteemed individuals, including Politburo member and President, Vo Van Thuong; Politburo member and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Nguyen Van Nen; and comrade Bui Quang Huy, an alternate member of the Party Central Committee and First Secretary of the Central Youth Union
